With Melt Sieberhagen – known for his stand-up comedy and now back on stage as a character for the first time in years – and Albert Pretorius (Fynskrif, Die Spreeus, Nêrens Noord-Kaap). Supported by Innibos Nasionale Kunstefees, NATi and Brand Incorporated.
Set built by: Clip-Lok SimPak South-Africa (Pty) Ltd. Hans Gouws – in his thirties, a security guard – is spending his eighth Easter weekend in a row working at We Crate You Up Storage Solutions. Alone. Being alone doesn’t bother Hans – or so he says. While Hans is comfortably chatting to the mannequin in the corner, he feels as if he has everything figured out. He’s made his choices and has made peace with it. He is, according to him, happy and satisfied. Nothing and no one bothers Hans.
Then – without warning – Man appears. What exactly Man is doing there (and why he won’t leave) Hans doesn’t know – yet. All he knows is that Man is looking for answers and is not leaving until he gets them. Nagskofkliek aims to understand what it would be like to have a cup of tea with the version of yourself you always thought you wanted to be and what happens when you can no longer lie to yourself.
Be careful what you wish for. It might just come true.
